For Immediate Release:

ForInsite partners with Dell to improve service offer.

Ottawa, ON, June 10, 2010 - ForInsite has made the decision to purchase an array of PowerEdge server platforms from Dell based on a demonstration of performance, cost effectiveness and attentive service. By forming a partnership with Dell, ForInsite will soon be offering its clients a solid hosting environment for ForInsite products and custom developed applications.

A major factor behind the decision is the Internet Service Providers (ISP) that ForInsite clients use to host their websites and marketing automation systems. It was reported by senior management at ForInsite that almost 40% of support and service incidents made by ForInsite clients have nothing to do with ForInsite products themselves, but are issues centered on the hosting environment. A large portion of these support tickets are website speed issues, server not responding notifications, server crashes, script timeout errors, database data sources not working, occasional server hacks and very frustrated clients that when calling their hosting provider to get service, they only get unknowledgeable representatives that can't seem to fix the issue.

A ForInsite support agent commented "There are several clients that can't afford dedicated or collocation hosting servers so they end up in a shared hosting environment at an ISP. Many of these major ISP's pack in the hundreds of different company websites on one server to make as much money as they can. Of course this is going to have a major impact to anyone hosted on that server with regards to speed and performance. All websites on that server share the hardware resources, so in peak traffic times, don't be surprised to see your website come to a haul. Other technical issues can arise from this as well. You could potentially have hundreds of different programmers with different skill sets and logic, programming security holes and bad code that can crash a server. Basically, that means what someone else does in their programming can affect you. The issue for us is that many of our clients are non-technical and don't know that there is a difference between our products and the hosting. All they know is that it doesn't work! When an ISP is hosting there web applications, it is out of our control, but try explaining that to a client. What most often happens is we take ownership to work with the ISP to fix an issue even though it is not our service. VERY COSTLY as we don't get paid for that time."

ForInsite, working directly with Dell, is now in the process of setting up and investing heavily into a solid and affordable hosting solution for ForInsite clients. This will ensure clients a controlled environment as the servers will only host ForInsite products and programming and it will limit the amount of websites on any one server.

Furthermore, ForInsite is dedicated in the future to design, develop, test and demonstrate all of its products and services on Dell hardware workstations and laptops. ForInsite expects to be fully integrated to Dell hardware within the next year and to be able to offer Dell hardware solutions to their client which will go hand and hand with the ForInsite products and service offer.
